OLIVER COULSON

Co-founder & Director of Competitions Oliver Coulson moved to Abu Dhabi in 2012 and soon teamed up with Roger De Manresa to build what would become one of the leading swim programs in the region. In 2016, they officially launched 4th Lane Swim Academy.

Since its inception, Oliver has played a key role in the early development of many young athletes, some of whom have gone on to represent their national teams on the international stage.

Currently, Oliver oversees the academy’s competition pathway, ensuring swimmers at every level have access to a structured, age-appropriate calendar of local and international meets. He manages the full scope of logistics involved in organizing competitions — from registration and travel arrangements to athlete support and post-race reviews.

Over the years, Coach Oliver has earned the respect of swimmers, parents, and fellow coaches alike for his unwavering dedication, strong values, and detail-oriented approach. His leadership continues to shape a high-performance culture that encourages excellence, resilience, and personal growth both in and out of the pool.
